Cozy Planets is an open-ended space sandbox about exploration, discovery, wildlife, science, building, and making distant worlds feel like home.

Choose your explorer, customize a spaceship, turn on your Cozy Radio, and launch into an endless procedural galaxy. Fly between enormous star systems, orbit strange suns and black holes, take untethered RCS space walks, land on planets and moons, hike alien landscapes, dive into deep oceans, and follow unusual signals wherever they lead.

There is no rush, no fixed path, and no single correct way to explore.

PLAY TOGETHER, EVEN OFFLINE

Nearby Play allows up to four explorers to connect when their devices are together—even without internet or a shared Wi-Fi network. Fly in formation, ride aboard another player's ship, land and space walk together, build on the same planets, share discoveries and world changes, trade living creations, and crew alien capital ships. Friends farther away can join through Game Center.

DISCOVER A LIVING GALAXY

Catalog 41 wildlife species across oceans, shorelines, forests, skies, deserts, dinosaur habitats, and deep space. Ride dolphins. Listen to whale songs. Follow fox trails. Befriend mammoths. Hatch eggs. Raise babies. Tame and name companions including dinosaurs and flying tardigrades, and bring them along on your adventures.

Rescue wildlife with the reusable Rescue Kit, or take dangerous missions to track a relentlessly hungry shark or T. rex. Discover living Starling cities, trade with their residents, befriend a crew, and seek their strange wisdom.

BUILD A HOME BENEATH ALIEN SKIES

Establish camps, plant flags and write plaques, grow native plants, deploy telescopes and science stations, store treasure, and command programmable robots. Use the modular Builder to create cottages, research stations, hillside homes, towers, and three-level bases from a library of editable parts. Cargo Robots can construct six different house designs. Oxygen Beacons create pockets of life on otherwise airless worlds.

SHAPE ENTIRE WORLDS

Raise mountains, carve valleys, flood lowlands, change oceans, recolor atmospheres, create planetary rings, and rename your discoveries. Use the Stellar Forge to brighten, dim, recolor, rename, or collapse stars into black holes. Your changes remain part of the galaxy and flow through multiplayer sessions.

STUDY LIFE, OR INVENT IT

Collect environmental samples, complete planetary surveys, analyze giant fossils, study weather and solar storms, repair satellites, discover all 118 elements, archive comet fragments, awaken ancient monoliths, and build field guides for 41 wild species and 64 plant species.

Find a rare Matrioshka Brain, synchronize with its nested computer, and unlock the Life Foundry aboard an alien research vessel. Combine discovered DNA to synthesize new animals and plants, then hatch, raise, cultivate, trade, and release your creations into suitable habitats.

BECOME A PEACEFUL EXPLORER, OR A SPACE MENACE

Alien capital ships roam between worlds with scouts, satellites, research activity, wildlife tractor beams, weapons, and agendas of their own. Land on their decks, raid their treasure caches, fight them, disable them, capture them, customize them, give them a name, and invite friends aboard.
